Manual Lymph Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage in Zurich is a gentle, specialised treatment designed to support the natural movement of lymph fluid and help reduce swelling, fluid retention, and a feeling of heaviness in the tissues. It may be especially helpful for clients looking for professional lymphatic support in a calm, medically informed setting.
My approach is based on Földi training and focused on precise, rhythmic manual techniques that encourage lymph flow without strong pressure. Each session is adapted individually, depending on your symptoms, treatment goals, and overall condition.
Unlike classical massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage does not aim to work deeply into the muscles. Its purpose is to support the lymphatic system with gentle, structured movements and offer careful support for swelling, heavy legs, and mild tissue congestion.
Who may benefit from Manual Lymph Drainage?
Manual Lymph Drainage in Zurich may be suitable for clients who experience:
- fluid retention
- heavy or tired legs
- mild swelling
- tissue congestion
- a need for gentle lymphatic support
- recovery support after certain procedures, when appropriate
Each session is adapted individually, with attention to contraindications, safety, and the client’s current condition.
A gentle and structured therapeutic approach

Important note
Manual Lymph Drainage is a supportive treatment and does not replace medical diagnosis or medical care. If you have a diagnosed medical condition, significant swelling, acute pain, infection, thrombosis, heart failure, kidney disease, or any unclear symptoms, medical evaluation is recommended before booking.
Support for Lymphoedema and Chronic Swelling
Manual lymph drainage may be suitable for clients with medically diagnosed lymphoedema or chronic swelling, when treatment is appropriate and medically cleared.
At Touch of Care, I can provide gentle manual lymph drainage, basic skin-care guidance, supportive movement advice, and, where appropriate, temporary compression bandaging while you are waiting for your prescribed compression garment.
This self-funded support may be useful if you already have a diagnosis, are waiting for compression garments, need maintenance support, or would like a faster appointment while waiting for insurance-covered treatment.
My ASCA and EMR recognition is currently in progress. Until recognition is confirmed, lymphatic treatments are self-funded and cannot be billed through supplementary health insurance.
Medical diagnosis, compression garments, and advanced lymphoedema management remain under the responsibility of your doctor, specialist, or certified medical supply provider. For sudden swelling, redness, heat, fever, shortness of breath, chest pain, or suspected thrombosis, please seek urgent medical care immediately.
If you need interim support for diagnosed lymphoedema or chronic swelling, please contact me directly before booking. You can call me or send an SMS or WhatsApp message so we can briefly clarify your situation and whether an appointment is appropriate. Please note that I speak fluent English; communication in German is possible at a basic/intermediate level.
What to Expect During Your Session
Your first session begins with a short intake and safety check. We discuss your current symptoms, relevant medical history, and the reason for your visit.
Manual lymph drainage is performed with slow, gentle, rhythmic movements. The pressure is light and the treatment should feel calming, not painful. The focus is to support lymphatic flow, reduce a feeling of heaviness, and help the body’s natural fluid regulation.
After the session, you may receive simple aftercare recommendations, such as drinking enough water, gentle movement, or observing how your body responds over the next 24 hours.
